The
Sacred Beach

| This is the sunset at the sacred beach we attended to send off the ashes of the matriarch from the cremation ceremony. The eldest grandson took the ashes from a big yellow pagoda and went out into the ocean with an old old boatman. Apparently there is a freshwater spring out there where they placed the ashes and brought back some fresh water to put in the family temple. We sat on the beach burning the pagoda and singing until long after sunset. |
