In our efforts to continue to be a non-partisan group concerned
with primarily women's issues, Chicks Rock is participating in
Avon's Breast Cancer 3-Day. The "3-Day", as it is called, is taking
place for the first time in the Bay Area this year. 3200 people are
registered to take part in this event - walking 60 miles from San
Jose to San Francisco in 3 days, July 28-30, 2000.

If you are interested in taking part in the 3-Day as a walker or as
a volunteer (and, hoo boy, do they need volunteers!) go to

Each walker must raise $1800 in donations in order to participate.
We have 13 women with Chicks Rock who are registered for the
event. If you are interested in donating money to the women in our
group who are registered, write to 3Day@chicksrock.org, let us
know the amount you would like to donate, and we will ensure that
all 13 of us are able to get the donations necessary to participate!
